Salvos is a Demon and the main protagonist of Salvos written series.

Appearance[]

In her original form as a [Infant Demon Larvae], she is a grey amorphous blob, slug-like in form, and as certain stats increased, her body changed—when she added endurance and vitality, her body grew tougher skin, when she added agility, she grew more limbs and they became more useful.

Her first evolution into a [Zealous Imp] changed her greatly, she was no longer a slug-like [Demon Larvae] and grew a humanoid form, an androgynous grey body with long grey hair. She was described as short as her companion Haec was much taller than her. She had a pair of small dark horns poking from her hair and bright cat-like yellow eyes. She also had dark grey markings along her body.

Her second evolution into a [Midday Changling] is dramatic, turning more beast-like and giving her a hunched appearance, covering her body in bone-like skin. Her arms are long enough to reach her knees and she has much sharper claws in this form. Her face is changed to look similar to a deer skull with two long curved horns facing back, she still has her long grey hair in this form. She stands much taller in this form around 6 to 7 feet. As a [Midday Changeling], she can transform into a mortal, able to turn into a human that has pale but not grey skin, grey hair, and yellow eyes. She was shorter than both her human companions but not as short as an imp.

Her next evolution is not as drastic, becoming an [Asura Changeling], giving her an all around boost: making her bigger overall, giving her an extra pair of arms, and larger horns. Besides that, this form is similar to her previous one. In this form she can use her [Mortal Form] ability to change into a Cyclops—a race of mortals that are relatively the same size as humans but a bit larger with an extra pair of arms, a single eye, and denser skin. Her skin is notably paler than other Cyclopes. She can also become a Kobold, becoming a scaled mortal with no hair, she has a short tail and grey scales in this form, as well as her usual yellow eyes.

As a [Davea Cambion], her form changes dramatically once again, turning more imp-like though taller, where she is the same height as Edithe but still shorter than Daniel. She has her pale grey skin, her long grey hair, and sharp demon claws, but no longer has her bone-like skin. Her horns are white and are on the sides now, pointing inwards and up like a crown. In this form, she has access to two new skills [Demonic Essence] and [Partial Mortality]. [Demonic Essence] allows her to change into a form similar to her past evolution but more imposing and dangerous. [Partial Mortality] allows her to change into any mortal race she wants—the changes are smoother and feel more real.

After unlocking the grand skill [Grand Skill: Divine Essence of the Daeva Cambion], her base form changes, giving her a dark ash-like imprint up her arms. She is also taller and has thicker horns. Her shapeshifting is now able to be held constantly and she is able to turn into any mortal creature (and presumably demonic.)

Unlocking the Passive Skill [Passive - Dragon Scales], covers her forearms and presumably her legs in dark grey scales, though she can shapeshift them away.

After Advancing her Class to a [Corrupted Apprentice], and unlocking the Passive Skill [Passive - Corrupted Dragon Scales], her blackened arms would start to glow, with the scale-like cracks that covered her skin shining from beneath, in a faint eclectic mix of colors.

Also her golden eyes no longer had the single slit-like pupil in each of them. Instead, they bore these crosses that had a gradient of colors on them.

Personality[]

Salvos is violent by nature constantly wanting to get stronger she fights others wherever she can. However he two human companions have tried to rein her in as she does not attack other humans at random. She is very caring towards her “companions” and often puts their needs as more important than her own. She is only 6 years old and her human companions can only teach her so much in this time they have tried and failed to instill morals to her but she seems to only grasp the bare edges. She is extremely naive in most areas except her magic and fighting skills. A way to think of her is this she doesn’t want to save the mortal realm because her friends and humanity is their but because the demon realm is all white and red and she doesn’t like how boring it would look.

History[]

Salvos starts as a young [Infant Demon Larva] who, after being born, quickly learns the harshness of the Netherworld and so she sets out to become powerful.

Soon after, she discovers another demon, whose name is later revealed to be Haec, and the two team up. Initially finding him annoying for stealing part of her experience points, the two become closer after saving each other from death. Eventually, they find a procession of demons lead by a cruel archdemon, who kills tens of the infant demons with no hesitation as they try to desert. There, she further resolves to become powerful.

After difficult encounters, Salvos and Haec evolve into an [Imp] and [Fiend] respectively. Now having humanoid forms and hence mouths able to converse, they reaffirm their commitment to each other—Salvos learning that Haec always saw her as his leader.

They soon discover a more difficult land named the Demon King's Domain. After a bit of training there, they agree to leave, but are stopped by another demon. A Djinn, Lucerna, a greater demon who demands they join the Demon King's forces. After refusing, he quickly grows hostile and a fight commences, showing off his superior strength and durability. Salvos is injured and Haec is captured.

Salvos soon returns and frees Haec, and after a difficult fight where salvos maims the greater demon's eye, Salvos and the Djinn are sucked through a summoning portal and sent to the human realm.

In the human realm, the greater demon's summoning collar is broken, sending him into a rage. Salvos flees into the strange mortal realm, determined to somehow return to Haec. But she quickly realizes people in the mortal realm dislike demons. After many instances of aggression towards Salvos, she stalks off into a forest where she devotes herself to getting stronger off of monsters. There, she encounters a strange, hooded human man.

The man is aggressive towards her and thinks she is the demon destroying the towns in the area (who is actually the rampaging Lucerna.) Salvos quickly bests him and knocks him out, but refrains from killing him. After he wakes, she then convinces the human that she is a different demon. Partially convinced that she is not a mindless or evil demon given that he is still alive, he introduces himself as Daniel Song and agrees to help her find a way to the Netherworld.

With Daniel's help, Salvos is smuggled into the nearby town where they investigate for ways to send her back to no avail. Later, they visit a nearby attack from the greater demon to hopefully find him and demand answers. They find a ruined town where Daniel finds a human woman who he quickly heals.

Against Daniel's recommendation, Salvos nonchalantly reveals her demon identity to the still-traumatized woman, who tries to attack her. Since their goal to defeat Lucerna aligned, the woman introduces herself as Edithe Dawnrise and begrudgingly joins the duo. However as she gets to know Salvos and fights beside her, she opens up to her—albeit slower than Daniel did.
